Do you have questions? We are trying to make everyone live a little easier by listing the most comment questions and their answers here.

  • First off, why boxing?
    This question couldn’t have been any easier. Boxing is a great workout, perhaps the most challenging of all sports. Requires speed, agility, finesse, power, endurance, and ultimate mental toughness. Boxing pushes you like no other, pitting the finest and highest level athletes against each other. More importantly boxing takes you further than you ever thought possible. Boxing makes you more alive than ever, more humble in defeat, and most glorious in victory. Boxing reveals the true fighter deep inside every single one of us.
  • I've never boxed before, will I be able to keep up?
    Absolutely. Our workouts are beginner friendly and designed to allow everyone to move at their own pace. Five minutes before class, we’ll call First Timers into the studio for our “pre-class,” where we go over the six punches.
  • What if I can't do everything in class? I haven't worked out in a while.
    Don’t sweat it. If you can move, you will be fine. Instructors offer modifications for many of the exercises we do in class, so you’ll have options.
  • Is there a beginner class?
    No, but all of our classes are suitable for beginners. We also offer private coaching if you’d like to brush up with some one-on-one technique before you step into a class setting, but it’s certainly not a pre-req for taking class.
  • Do I need to own my own gloves?
    Nope. Gloves are available to rent or for purchase at our front desk, but if you have a favorite pair that you’d like to bring, we totally understand.
  • How old do you have to be to take a class?
    13.We offer special event classes that are suitable for all age groups. Birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and book clubs are all welcomed.
  • Do you offer corporate events or private classes for groups?
    Yes, we offer bag blocks, class exclusives, and venue exclusives. Any additional questions can be directed to events@hitfitboxing.co.za
  • What is a HittFit Training Class like?
    It’s the push you love and the team energy to take you there. This is training for all: Workout newbies, people who claim to like running, and people who actually like running lace up next to each other for ten electric rounds of a full-body, dynamic, interval-based workout that keeps everyone on their toes. Start off as a group with a high-powered, runners-focused, functional warm up. Then split half the 45-minute class between tearing it up with intervals, resistance, and speed on our high-tech treadmills and powering up at your station with strength and body-weight conditioning exercises.
  • I don’t run much, will I be able to keep up?
    Absolutely. Our workouts are beginner friendly and designed so everyone can Rumble at their own pace. Five minutes before class, we’ll call First Timers into the studio for our “pre-class,” where we go over our intervals, custom combos and how to move through them on the treadmill like a champ.
  • What if I can't do everything in class? I haven't worked out in a while.
    Don’t sweat it. Instructors offer a variety of levels and modifications for many of the exercises we do in class, so no matter your experience, you can take it to your max.
  • Do you have water or should I bring my own?
    We sell our own branded water available at the front desk. If you’d prefer to bring your own bottle, we also have a filling station available in our lobby.
  • Is there food available?
    We have health shakes, for real food but we can direct you to several places close by!
  • Do I need to create an account?
    Yes. It’s very simple and should take you less than 1 minute.
  • Do I have to buy a package or a membership?
    No. You can buy a single class if you’re terrified of commitment. We offer a first time rate, where you purchase one class and the second one is on us.
  • Do you offer monthly memberships?
    Yes we offer a variety of options please check the membership page
  • Can I use one package for both Boxing and Training classes?
    You bet. Whichever single class or package option you purchase can be used at any Rumble Boxing or Rumble Training class of your choice.
  • When do classes become available to book online?
    Yes you can book online via the website on via our mobile app.
  • When should I arrive?
    We recommend arriving at the studio 15 minutes before class for check-in.
  • What do I do when I get there?
    Say what’s up to whoever is at the front desk and mention that it is your first time. They’ll get you taken care of.
  • What if I’m running late?
    To ensure that your spot is not released to the waitlist, please arrive at Rumble at least five minutes prior to the start of your class. To be respectful of others, there will be no entry five minutes after the class has started.
  • Something came up. Can I cancel?
    Yes please cancel online by logging in or contacting us.
  • What should I wear?
    Whatever is comfy and makes you feel fly.
  • What shoes should I wear?
    Most clients wear traditional cross-training shoes. You can break out your running shoes for training and bank some bonus points if you have boxing shoes, but neither are necessary for either class.
  • Do you have showers?
    We do. There are multiple showers in both the men’s and women’s locker rooms. Towels, vanities, hair dryers, and bath and body products are also provided.
  • What are the benefits of boxing?

  • Will boxing make me too muscular?
    No. Boxing will build lean muscle mass and tone your entire body. The combination of cardio and strength training will allow you to burn calories without bulking up. With an intense focus on improving core strength, you'll be ready to show off that six-pack sooner than you thought.
  • Is boxing good for you?
    Our class is HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), strength training, (METCON) metabolic conditioning, and cardio all in one - making it an incredible total body workout. You'll see improved balance and coordination, increased metabolism, and burn up to 13 calories per minute. Our training bags reduce the impact on your joints, and the teardrop shape increases trainer visibility so that you'll never feel lost during class. Our favorite part? The endorphins released during exercise mean that there's a good chance that you'll walk out feeling happier too.
  • Will I lose weight boxing?
    Since no two classes are the same - we keep your body guessing, making it nearly impossible to hit a weight loss plateau, and even less likely for you to get bored. The back and forth between aerobic and anaerobic exercise means you're training on an entirely new level. Even better, the boost in your metabolism ensures you'll be burning calories throughout class, and long after you leave.
  • Can I take class if I’m pregnant?
    We’ve had clients train right up to D-Day, but that is a question better suited for you and your doctor.
  • What are wraps, do I really need them?
    Yes. We require wraps on the training floor. Wraps help protect your hands and wrists while punching the bag. We have slip-on wraps available to purchase
  • What are the benefits of running and cross-training?
    Aside from the full-body burn that leaves you feeling like a superstar? Here’s what we got: Injury prevention Rehabilitation Overall stronger muscles / more muscle endurance Increased metabolism Attacks broader range of muscle groups Higher level of endurance Enhanced efficiency of body / power Enhanced motivation Reduced blood sugar / improve oxygen consumption Helps lose fat Rejuvenation Cross-training may be the right move for you because it adds variety to your fitness routine, keeping the motivation high to stick with it and see real results.
  • Why running?
    They don’t call it runner’s high for nothing. When you get in the zone and find your stride, running can significantly improve physical and mental health. As a form of heart-pumping, aerobic exercise, running can reduce stress, improve heart health, and even help alleviate symptoms of depression. When in doubt, run it out.
  • Will Training classes help me lose weight?
    The short answer: yep. With a variety of movements and physical activity in a single class, cross-training can help speed weight loss because it allows you to combine more than one form of physical activity in a single exercise session. This lets you work out safely for longer periods of time, enhancing the fat-burning systems of your muscles. How’s that for efficiency?
  • How many days per week should I Train?
    That’s a question best answered by your doc and your personal trainer, but if you have the go-ahead, 2-3 days of HIIT per week is solid. With the variety of movements, Training is a safe, effective workout and the physical benefits continue even after you step off the treadmill. You know you best, so choose your schedule based on how your body feels and the goals you’re ready to crush.
  • What do I need for class?
    Nothing special — just traditional cross-training shoes or running shoes to keep you light on your feet. Wear something you feel comfortable moving in that you don’t mind getting drenched in sweat.
